On October 3, Deputy General Director Hoang Nang Khang had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) led by Mr. Ryo Suzuki , Head of National Cooperation Department, Department of Railways, MLIT as the head of the delegation.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Company Limited: Pacific Consulting, Chodai, Japan International Transportation Consultant and Japan Electrical Consultant; On the side of VNR, there were representatives of the International specialized departments of Technology, Infrastructure, Train locomotive, and Railway Safety and Security.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy General Director Hoang Nang Khang said that the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Japan is developing more and more. In the past time, VNR Corporation has received valuable help from the Japanese Government, especially from MLIT. The Deputy General Director especially thanked MLIT for the initial research on the VNR system from 2021 up to now, and appreciated Japan’s experience in exploiting railway infrastructure. The Deputy General Director hopes to continue to receive support from MLIT.
The process of implementing the North-South Railway Study is chaired by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan from June 2021. In February 2022, the two sides had a working session online to clarify the need for upgrading railway signal information systems, warning at crossings, traction locomotives, railway transport operations and measures for warning and preventing natural disasters…
During this business trip to work with Vietnam Railways Corporation, MLIT’s delegation will be divided into 2 groups: Crossroad signal information group and Train locomotive and disaster prevention group to conduct surveys along the route of the North-South railway.
